Function:
Any operation that adds, deletes, or modifies one or more font families or fonts triggers an update of the global generation count. | ||||

Notes:
You can use this function in conjunction with the iteration functions to identify changes made to the font database. Requires Mac OS 9.0 or newer. | ||||
